I have completed my engineering and I am preparing for the IIT JAM exam.

I have given the GATE exam in my final year but GATE exam is too tough and now am preparing for the IIT JAM in physics.

Which books of GATE I can prefer for my IIT JAM preparation. I have some of the GATE preparation books and I want to utilize those books.

I find some of the books useful for both the exams IIT JAM & GATE exams are:

The common and the most correct book I have found for the physics concepts are:
concepts of Physics by H.C. Verma
Introduction to Electrodynamics by David Griffith
Classical Mechanics by Herbert Goldstein
For GATE preparation you may prefer the following books:

1. Mathematical Physics by H. K. Dass
2. Mathematical Physics by B.D. Gupta
3. Principles of Electromagnetics by Mathew N.O. Sadiku
4. Fundamentals Of Statistical And Thermal Physics by Reif
5. Solid State Physics by N. David
6. Nuclear Physics by S.N. Ghoshal
7. Network Analysis and Synthesis by S.K. Bhattacharya
